Care

Care is a two-way thing you know. Look after your bed linen and it will look after you!

All our Milk & Honey products have been made to the best quality, however in order to keep your product special, we invite you to follow our care guidelines.

For the towels, the bed linen and the table linen, if you have decided to keep them, we strongly recommend that you wash them before you use them . Please ensure that they are washed separately from items containing Man Made fibers as it will damage the fabric. We also recommend that you alternate the use of more than one set as it will preserve for longer the life of the product.

Bed linen and Table linen

Washing: We recommend for your bed linen to be laundered once a week but also that you alternate the use of more than one set. All bed and table linen should be separated into light or dark colours and washed at 40 degrees. We strongly recommend that you use a non-biological detergent containing no optical whiteners, bleaching agents or enzymes that can cause colours to fade or create discoloration.

Drying: On a washing line would be ideal however you can use a tumble dryer as long as it is not on a too hot setting. We recommend to promptly remove the linen out of the tumble dryer when the cycle is finished as this will reduce the creases. Cotton is beautifully soft however it is only natural that it is creasing a little more than synthetic fibers.

Ironing: With a hot steam iron, Iron your bed linen and table linen whilst they are still a little bit damp as this help you for a smoother ironing.

Towels

We recommend for your towels to be washed before using them so that they are softer and more absorbent. All towels should be separated into light or dark colours and washed at 40 degrees. We recommend to use a non-biological detergent containing no optical whiteners, bleaching agents or enzymes that can cause colours to fade or create discoloration.

We recommend not to use too much fabric softener as this lessens the absorbency of the towels.

Duvets and Pillows

Washing: We do strongly recommend for you to have it commercially laundered as you would really need an extra-capacity washing machine. You must ensure that all items are thoroughly dry before putting it back on the bed or storing it.

We recommend that you shake and fluff up your duvets and pillows everyday as this enables the air to circulate in order to maintain the loft and the fluffiness through. This will make your duvet and pillows life last longer.

You must use a cover for your duvets and pillows to protect them and keep them clean.

Shrinkage

All Natural fibers linen will shrink, it is perfectly normal. This shrinkage has been taken into account in the sizing of Milk & Honey products. However, washing or drying fabrics at hot temperatures will cause too much shrinkage.

Jewellery

All the Milk and Honey jewellery has been handcrafted with the finest materials available and a lot of care and attention to detail. For the wish bracelets we have used a semi-precious stone, a sterling silver heart charm, a Japanese Miyuki bead, a natural cotton string with running knots closure.

In order to protect the jewellery, we recommend you to store it separately from other jewellery to avoid scratches and to not expose it to extreme temperatures, chemicals and direct sunlight. Should you wish to polish it, we advise you use a 100% cotton cloth. We strongly recommend you to avoid water as the cotton cord colour would fade. It is best to keep away your bracelet from Salt water, Chlorine in swimming pools, Soap, Perfumes and personal products as they could damage the delicate gems or other materials used.

We hope this will help you make the most of your Milk & Honey product. If you have any further queries or questions regarding care issues, please feel free to contact us.
